Polyurethane In The Refrigeration Field

Polyurethane is the ideal solution for the refrigeration sector. Its excellent properties as insulating material make it the perfect match for refrigerators and freezers. As a matter of fact, the insulating efficiency of polyurethane plays a fundamental role in the refrigeration sector because it allows the preservation of low temperature in the cold food chain. And this is not all: because of its light weight and low volume, polyurethane is the best choice to insulate refrigerators and freezers.

Because of its high insulating properties, rigid polyurethane foam contributes to energy saving and sustainability in our households as well as in the whole cold food chain.

Corner panels in the refrigeration sector

When we think about sandwich panels, our mind usually thinks of their best-known version, i.e. a construction material made of two layers, a PU core and equipped with joints and fasteners making it a simple and construction-friendly solution. In cold rooms and  refrigerated storages, thermal dispersion is a critical point: especially on corners, the use of joints to connect panels creates thermal bridges affecting insulation properties. In fact, if junctions are not excellent and the panels not perfectly aligned, the outside temperature will affect the inside one with significant consequences on the cold room purpose and use and causing waste of energy. Corner panels are the perfect solutions to avoid this problem: the lack of fastening and joints eliminates any risk of thermal dispersion.

Ekosystem is able to give you the best solution for the production of equipment in the refrigeration field. Our solutions include low and high pressure foaming machines with different outputs, foaming fixtures and moulds, presses, turnkey plants and complete discontinous lines.
